Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Chestnuts


I adore brussels sprouts. This recipe rakes them to a whole new level!


Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Chestnuts


Ingredients

4 slices thick cut bacon, diced

3 cups brussels sprouts, roots trimmed and halved

½ cup roasted chestnuts, chopped (You can find these vacuum packed in groceries)

½ cup water

Salt

Pepper


Method

Over medium heat cook bacon until crispy. Add prepared brussels sprouts, water, and chestnuts. Cover and cook brussels sprouts until done to your likeness. I like them with a little crunch, but others like them cooked to buttery softness. Salt and pepper to taste
